TV Licence Times
This blog is simply to make people in the UK aware of the UK TV licence and that if you watch ANY "live as shown content" it doesn't matter from which country that content is broadcast, you require a TV licence to watch it.
Other countries either don't require ANY payments to watch the TV content or have a tax on a bill to enable you to watch TV content.
The company who get ALL the money collected from the licence are called the BBC and they employ a company called Capita to collect the money for TV licences, they also have high pressure sales people, GOONS, who go around knocking on doors of people who don't pay to try and get them to buy a TV licence, some of these goons have been known to try and get a prosecution of those without a licence by getting those without a licence to sign a form incriminating themselves, this form is a TVL178, and they say just sign here to say I called then fill in details to claim the person was watching a live as shown TV program.
Capita also send out monthly letters with windows in the envelope saying things like "will you be in on a date, Investigation opened, Are you watching plus they also try and claim you need a TV licence to watch Amazon Prime video and You Tube. Amazon do offer live TV channels on their platform and some live sports subscribers to Prime can watch the live sports the day after they are shown totally free of a TV licence, only the TV stations they offer as an add-on require a TV licence as they are not on-demand.
